The apartments in Keilisholt were bought and intended for the residents of Grindavík in line with a memorandum with the government due to the evacuation in Grindavík.

Four bedroom apartment available (no. 301)
The beginning of rent is 15th of November (can be sooner if needed).
The apartment is 110,0 m² and is on the 3rd floor. Balcony to the east. Laundry room inside the apartment, storage in the common area.
The apartment has entrance, one bedroom, a common area with a kitchen, a bathroom, and a storage unit located in the basement of the building. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and hob.
A shared stroller and bicycle storage room is located on the ground floor.
Estimated rental price ISK 305.492 per month, linked monthly to the consumer price index, starting in August 2025. Tenants are generally entitled to housing benefits and in some cases special housing support to meet the rent.
The tenant pays for their own electricity consumption (from the apartment's electricity meter), heat, and the common operating costs of the building, in proportion to the size of the apartment (such as cleaning and maintenance of the common areas, including gardening and snow removal).
Allocations goes to the applicant who has legal domicile in Grindavík has lowest number waiting list number and meets the general conditions for allocations: is a member within ASÍ or BSRB for at least 16 months, out of the last 24 months, and be within a certain income limit, income may not exceed 8.686.000/12.161.000 (individual/couple) + 2.172.000 per child, according to the latest tax return. The total assets of the tenants shall not be higher than 9.386.000 ISK.
If it is not possible to allocate to an applicant who is below the income and property limits according to Article 10 the owner of the apartment is allowed to rent it to a tenant who exceeds the income and property limits. Market rent may be demanded. However, such contracts must not be for a period longer than one year.
If it is not possible to allocate to an applicant from Grindavík (a person on the list from "Almannavarnir" due to evacuation in Grindavík), the apartment can be allocated according to Bjarg's general rules regarding allocation. However, such contracts should not be made for longer period than 18 months.

The furnishings in all apartments are from HTH from Ormsson. Electrical appliances are from AEG. The kitchen comes with a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and hob. The floors in the apartments are high-quality hardwood flooring with soundproofing, and tiles on the floors in wet rooms.

Pets are allowed in some of the apartments and you must be mark in your application if you are applying for an apartment allowing a pet.
